What are they and what triggers them?
While there are some people who seem to be able to identify a pattern in their psoriasis symptoms – for example, that their condition gets worse in winter and better in summer – for most people, there will always be an element of unpredictability to the condition. Very often, some sort of trigger is needed to cause a flare-up of the disease.
While some people can predict their psoriasis symptoms, most people find the condition unpredictable.
Know what triggers your psoriasisA flare-up can be understood as any worsening of your psoriasis, for example, the appearance of the condition in a different place, more itching, more pain related to your psoriasis, an increase in the size of plaques, and so on.
Keep in mind that what causes one person's psoriasis to appear can be very different from what causes someone else's psoriasis. However, being aware of the common triggers of your flare-ups and taking control of your daily life to minimise them, can help you to feel more in control of your psoriasis.
